51° 32 ' 6.954” N / 0° 00 ' 47.0808” W was a 1 hour sound composition, map and 32 page booklet commissioned for the Sound Proof group show curated by Monica Biagioli and Colm Lally at the E:vent Gallery, London in 2008. The sound was recorded within a 100 metre square plot of land centred on Pudding Mill Lane railway station and the old Greenway. "Since the turn of the year, I have made my way to a particular point of longitude and latitude. Strolling, standing still and sometimes sitting, in bright sunlight and grey drizzle, in mornings, afternoons and evenings, I’ve tried to listen. Magpies chuckling, bramble bushes caught in the breeze, seagulls calling in circles. Trains rattling across the points, jets banking in the sky above, traffic making its way up and down Stratford High Street. The people I have met - with dogs, on bikes, with cameras, on foot - have talked of one thing, The Olympics, and they’ve looked in one direction, to the north, to the vast mountains of chocolate-coloured earth, swarming with trucks, diggers and workers in Hi-Vis vests."
